The Public Interest Network seeks an Administrative Assistant to work with our Development team. We are looking for a smart, committed, and detail-oriented candidate to join our team to assist in managing donor prospects, cultivation and events, handle administrative tasks and aid in long-term planning for the Development Department. This position requires excellent administrative skills, judgment and discretion and the ability to oversee significant projects.
At The Public Interest Network, we take a principled, pragmatic approach in our work. We connect big ideas to concrete policy changes that improve the quality of our environment and people’s lives. We’re transpartisan — we want to reach everyone who might agree with us from across the political spectrum. We value dialogue over polarization. We are clear about what our mission is, and we stick to it. We invest in people and strategies that deliver results — we are advocates, lobbyists, campaigners, litigators, policy researchers and grassroots organizers. And we have a 40+ year history of organizing people and decision-makers to make positive policy changes at the local, state, and federal level that have improved our environment, public health, and the quality of our lives.
In order to achieve these results, the groups in The Public Interest Network need a strong backup staff to provide the resources, guidance, and infrastructure it takes to make progress on these issues. The Development Department helps raise general support funds to bolster the critical work of our network’s program staff, and the Administrative Assistant will play an important role in supporting our fundraising work.
