We’re seeking a top-notch administrator to help run the operations of The Public Interest Network’s state advocacy team. Working closely with our staff on the ground in 29 states, the administrator plays a critical role in the day to day logistics and support for effective organizations. This position requires exercising discretion and independent judgment in making decisions in matters of significance. Representative responsibilities include:

  • Working with our team of state-based advocacy staff.
  • Managing team data and systems.
  • Coordinating with other Public Interest Network departments.
  • Identifying areas to innovate and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants need to be goal-driven and sharp, with great problem-solving skills. Applicants must be detail-oriented and highly organized, with a friendly and professional demeanor and the maturity to manage confidential and/or sensitive information. They should be driven by the idea of building a non-profit organization and have an outstanding work ethic while being flexible enough to pivot to prioritize whatever projects are most timely & important. Finally, a successful applicant is a problem solver who has the drive to succeed.

Relevant administrative experience, preferably in an activist, nonprofit or political organization, a plus but not a requirement.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting compensation range for this position is $31,500-$38,000 and depends on relevant experience, education, and location. Candidates on the low end of relevant experience should expect to be on the lower end of this range; candidates on the higher end of relevant experience are likely to be on the higher end of this range. The Public Interest Network offers an excellent benefits package.
