10 ways your community can go electric

Environment America Research & Policy Center released it's “Ten Ways Your Community Can Go All-Electric” report, designed to help local elected officials and community members begin to take steps to electrify the places where they live, work, learn and spend their time

Right now, cities and towns all across the country are working to repower our society with clean, renewable energy.

On Mar. 9, Environment America Research & Policy Center joined U.S. PIRG Education Fund to host a webinar outlining the release of their guide, “Ten Ways Your Community Can Go All-Electric,” designed to help local elected officials and community members begin to take steps to electrify the places where they live, work, learn and spend their time.

Burning fossil fuels in residential and commercial buildings causes almost 30% of our country’s global warming emissions, and research is increasingly showing that using fossil fuels in appliances like gas stoves can cause dangerous levels of indoor air pollution.

Environment America Research & Policy Center and our national network are advocating for switching to clean, efficient and all-electric technologies to clean up our air and create a more liveable climate.
