Environment Georgia helps launch Atlanta, Savannah solar purchasing programs

In Atlanta and Savannah, neighbors can now help each other to more easily make their communities cleaner and greener.

Environment Georgia teamed up on June 3 and 9 with other renewable energy advocates to launch Solarize Atlanta and Solarize Savannah, community programs for group-purchasing solar energy, battery storage and clean energy technology. Through group-purchasing agreements with trusted vendors, the program will help homeowners and businesses in Atlanta and Savannah access resilient, affordable renewable energy sources at competitive prices.

“Every home and structure built without solar is a missed opportunity,” said Jennette Gayer, state director with Environment Georgia. “Generating renewable energy from our rooftops helps homeowners and their communities, reducing both electric bills and pollution.”

Environment Georgia is thrilled that Solarize Atlanta and Solarize Savannah are now options for Georgians and will continue to work for a sustainable energy future in the Peach State.
