Electric School Buses Are Taking Off

The World Resources Institute released an updated electric school bus adoption tracker and found school districts and fleet operators have now committed to 12,275 electric school buses across 38 states. 10,000 of these buses come from a partnership between SEA Electric and Midwest Transit Equipment (MTE).
With a school bus fleet of 480,000, the US still has a long way to go to phase out toxic, diesel-fueled buses. However, these findings represent we are trending in the right direction.
