On May 12, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi from Illinois became the latest to cosponsor the extremely bipartisan Recovering America’s Wildlife Act. He is the 177th cosponsor of the bill, which will send $1.4 billion to the states so that “action” will be the key word of their state wildlife action plans.
The bill’s lead sponsors are Reps. Debbie Dingell from Michigan and Mike Simpson from Idaho. Clearly, it has support in Congress, but there’s more work to do to get this wildlife protection bill across the finish line.
